I specialise in developmental editing, which involves working with you on a completed draft to help you develop your story until it is the best that it can be. I can help you to iron out plot holes, ensure characters behave in believable ways and check that you have a good balance between scene and summary or dialogue and interior monologue, for example.

About meI have always loved books. I was that kid who was always reading, who would use a torch under the duvet after my parents had made me turn my light out.
After completing two degrees in English literature at the University of York, I have made my career in publishing, first in-house for academic publishers and now as a freelance editor and proofreader. As a freelancer I have worked with academic publishers, students and independent authors. All have their own challenges and are rewarding in different ways. |
